Curious about how to get started with watercolor painting, or just looking to try your hand in something new? In this class, local calligrapher and watercolorist Ali Loncar-Bridges will give us a great foundation to build upon by walking us through the fundamentals of watercolor painting. In this introductory level class, we’ll kick things off by familiarizing ourselves with the necessitates when it comes to quality recommended supplies for beginners. After a quick rundown of materials, we'll dive into learning tips and tricks on mixing paints for optimal performance, and work through instruction and guided practice on techniques including blooming, wet-on-wet, and wet-on-dry painting. Plan to leave this class with the knowledge and comfort level to keep practicing and perfecting your new artistic skills.
Materials
To follow along with this class, you'll need watercolor paper, brushes and paint. We'll send out a detailed list of recommended products upon registration.
